The casserole is back!
It may be served as a main dish or a side dish and is usually served in the dish in which it was prepared. It is easy to create and often inexpensive. It can be made ahead and thrown in the oven for those nights when a quick meal might be in order. It is comfort food and uses ingredients found in any kitchen.
