Toni Ann Johnson's critically acclaimed play was produced by The New York Stage and Film Company at the Powerhouse Theatre at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York in July of 1999.

To the chagrin of her Harlem bred grandmother, Luna, a young biracial woman from the exclusive community of Gramercy Park, in New York City, examines race through the prism of her romantic relationships with white men. After tragically losing her first love and having his child, D.J., Luna falls for Neil, a NY cop from Hell's Kitchen. While navigating their relationship, they work to provide a nurturing environment for Luna's son and his friend Snappy, a neglected, but brilliant boy from an abusive, impoverished home. Outside forces that disapprove of the relationship soon seep inside, threatening to destroy the healing that has begun to take place.
